My name is Rev. Mercy Wood from UK, I am going to Malawi Africa on the January to help an orphans centre to rebuild their classroom.
Can you help us?
Wood World Missions supports numerous projects in communities in northern Malawi - building water wells, repairing and equipping schools, funding orphan programmes, providing HIV/AIDS education materials, helping train local people and supporting long term food security projects to name a few.
The community are actively involved - they have started moulding bricks. We have received small donations which will be controlled by us while over there to buy necessary items to help the villages.
Rumphi orphans school Classroom projects
1. We will need about 45 sheets of iron sheet for roofing. Each iron sheet cost about £5.00 = �225.00
2. Timbers = £100.00
3. Nails etc £110.00
4. Cements £300.00
5. Two Bicycles £100.00 £50.00 each for the coordinators
6. Christmas presents £50.00
7. Transportation £120.00
Total £1,005.00
Ngonga�s orphans care centre�s building repair and Food supplies
1. Cements £100.00
2. Grass for roof £60.00
3. Food for workers £50.00
4. Maize for the orphans £100.00
5. Christmas presents for all orphans £50.00
6. Total £360.00
Bwengu�s Orphan care

3. Second-hand clothes £150.00
4. Drinks and biscuits for orphans £40.00

We have managed to raise some funds but still needs more money to help these mission trip projects.
